Company policies.

We believe in operating openly. Below are summary statements of the policies that guide how we work. Full policies are available to clients and prospective partners on request — just email info@bloomcycle.com.au.

01
Work Health & Safety

Keeping our people safe in a workshop environment.

Bloom Cycle takes the wellbeing of our team, clients, and visitors seriously. Our workshop is governed by documented safe-work procedures for every tool and process we use, with regular hazard reviews, appropriate PPE, and clear incident reporting. Every team member is trained before operating equipment, and we comply with all applicable Queensland WHS legislation.

02
Environmental Management

Reclaim, don't extract.

Sustainability isn't an add-on for Bloom Cycle — it's why we exist. Our Environmental Management approach commits us to using reclaimed timber for every trophy, minimising packaging waste, sourcing finishes and consumables with low environmental impact wherever possible, and continuously reducing studio waste through reuse, recycling and responsible disposal.

03
Quality Assurance

Every trophy, hand-checked.

Each trophy is reviewed against the approved design before despatch. Reclaimed materials carry natural variation, and we treat that as a feature — but every piece is checked for finish, fit, fixings, and presentation. We offer a clear repair-or-replace commitment for any item that doesn't meet our quality standards on arrival.

04
Diversity & Inclusion

An inclusive studio, by design.

Bloom Cycle is a female-founded business committed to building a workplace that's welcoming to people of all backgrounds, abilities and neurotypes. We recruit on merit and capability, make reasonable adjustments where needed, and prioritise creating roles for people with a disability — not because policy requires it, but because our founder understands firsthand why representation in the workplace matters.

05
Family & Domestic Violence

Supporting team members through the hardest moments.

Bloom Cycle recognises that family and domestic violence affects people in our communities and our team. We offer paid leave for affected employees, flexible work arrangements, confidential support pathways, and connections to specialist services. Confidentiality is paramount; no team member is ever disadvantaged for accessing this support.

06
Modern Slavery

A clean supply chain, by design.

We take steps to identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain. Our materials are predominantly reclaimed and sourced locally, our suppliers are reviewed for ethical practices, and we expect our partners to share our standards. Any concerns can be raised confidentially and will be investigated promptly.

Security & Data

Looking after the information you share with us.

We handle client data — names, contact details, design briefs, recipient lists — with care. We collect only what we need, store it securely, limit access to authorised team members, and delete it when no longer required. Our security practices align with Australian Privacy Principles, and data breaches (if any ever occurred) would be disclosed promptly.

08
Indigenous Engagement & Support

Acknowledging Country, supporting community.

Bloom Cycle acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we live, work and create — the Turrbal and Jagera Peoples — and pays respect to Elders past, present, and emerging. We're committed to building opportunities to engage Indigenous suppliers, support Indigenous-led programs through our community work, and feature Indigenous design collaborations on appropriate commissions, with cultural guidance.

09
Social & Community Impact (CSR)

Profit as a tool for purpose.

As a Social Traders certified social enterprise, Bloom Cycle reinvests at least 51% of our surplus into advancing sustainable design, creating inclusive jobs, and strengthening community impact. We measure ourselves against social-enterprise reporting standards, support charities and community recognition events through donated work, and publish an impact summary annually.
